Charlie Brown's sister, Sally, finds his book which she mistakes for a toy catalog and mails it to Santa Claus in an effort to get a better haul of toys the following year. Staging is flat in keeping with the style of the film and comic strip. The toy plane at the end was a running gag in an earlier version of the film.
